Dec 5, 2025, SK Dave Satterfield had lunch today with SK Bill Schenkel, former member of St. John's Council 1622 and Bishop McNamara 4th Degree Assembly 384, at Tom & Ray's Family Restaurant in Damascus, MD. Bill transferred out of Cncl 1622 and Assy 384 when he bought a townhouse in Damascus, MD in the late 1990s. While here in Frederick, Bill served as Financial Secretary for Council 1622 from Jan 1993 through Jun 1999, 6-1/2 years. He also served as Comptroller for Assy 384 from July 1992 through June 1997, 5 years, two really big and often thankless jobs, so thank you Bill. Bill suffered a fall earlier this year on his condo steps at age 75 and has mostly recovered, but is still walking slowly with a cane.
